About me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Nasreen Meah, and I have been in practice as a Licensed Psychotherapist (LCSW) and Certified Life and Executive Coach (CPC) for nearly two decades. I specialize in counseling, psychotherapy, and life transition coaching for adolescents (ages 13-19), young adults (20-30), and adults (30+). In addition to working with individuals, I also enjoy working with couples and their families. Working with a wide range of clients has given me a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs people face at different stages of life. Each person’s journey allows me to deepen my understanding and appreciation of the human mind, and I am continually inspired by the diverse stories of human experience.

We all strive to reach our full potential, and I feel privileged to partner with my clients as they discover their passions. I believe that living authentically opens the door to greater kindness and deeper, more meaningful relationships—ultimately contributing to a better world. My own passion lies in supporting others so they can live in alignment with their authentic selves and experience the fulfillment that everyone deserves.

Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel empowered to increase your self-awareness and explore both personal and professional challenges. Our collaborative partnership will help you make conscious choices that support a healthier and more mindful life. By focusing on your unique strengths, we’ll work to build resilience and address any long-standing behavioral patterns, guiding lasting change in whatever you choose to bring to our sessions.

A little about me: I earned my bachelor’s degree (BS) in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University and my master’s degree (MSW) in Social Work from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I also have certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from Cleveland Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Professional Coaching (CPC) from The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. I am currently pursuing my Doctoral degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) School of Social Policy and Practice (SP2).

My clinical and coaching skills, combined with my experience as a community organizer, allow me to connect with people on a personal level. In addition, my diverse background in bioscience, psychology, and the social sciences provide a foundation for understanding the biological, psychological, and social effects of human behavior.

Through my personal struggle with depression as an adolescent, my young adult journey as an immigrant student, and my experiences as a wife and a mother navigating my life in a country that was not familiar with, or sometimes didn’t value, my culture, I’ve developed a passion for inclusion, diversity, and social/family justice. I bring this passion to every session. My personal experiences have enriched my professional training and taught me the importance of being proactive and thinking outside the box with my clients.

In my personal life, I enjoy running in the woods and along the water. My self-care routine involves daily meditation and self-reflection. In my free time, I like to read non-fiction—mainly memoir—hang out with friends and family, and travel to experience new cultures (especially the food!).
